To play you need a copy of Ultima Online. Downloads are available from the official Ultima Online site at http://www.uo.com/uoml/downloads.shtml. Patching to OSI client version 6.0.5.0 is recommended but not absolutely required.
Note: Do not download the client from the FTP link! Download the one from Fileplanet! FTP one will crash ConnectUO!


You will also need a copy of ConnectUO. ConnectUO is a program which keeps an up to date list of free Ultima Online shards like Eriland. It also allows you to store your favorites and log on with a click. ConnectUO can be obtained at the ConnectUO website. (download link at top left of ConnectUO website)

The last thing you will need is a copy of Razor. Razor is a free utility that helps you play the game and allows you to program certain game actions that can be performed at the press of a key. Razor is also required to play because it breaks the games encryption which allows people to run these free shards in the first place. Razor is available at the Razor website at http://www.runuo.com/razor/

 Once you've installed Ultima Online, ConnectUO Desktop, and Razor you'll need to configure ConnectUO to launch Razor with your UO client.

When you run ConnectUO the first thing that it will do is download an updated serverlist. ** ConnectUO is currently broken and will not get the serverlist. Their staff is working on it. **

After this is complete, click on the Tools menu at the upper left hand corner of the window and select Options from the bottom of that menu. The options window will appear and you'll see an option to launch Razor with client. You need to check that box and click ok.

Here is a screenshot. Please do not do anything except for checking that box unless you know what you are doing.




After doing this, look for Eriland in the list of servers or type "Eriland" (Case Sensitive) into the search box at the top right of the ConnectUO window. Add Eriland to your favorite list for easy access and then click on Play. ConnectUO will download Eriland's custom patches and then launch the UO client and Razor. 

** Eriland may not be in the serverlist at the moment due to ConnectUO's servers being down.. please use the following info to add Eriland to your ConnectUO favorites manually **


To add a manual connection for Eriland to ConnectUO click on the file menu at the top left of the ConnectUO window and select Add Local. When the Add Local window appears, fill in the information as shown in the following image and click Add. This new connection will then appear in your ConnectUO Favorites.
